shipping advertisements are super important for plotting. you basically create an ad sheet for your character, explaining who he or she is, and what you are looking for: friends, lovers, enemies, etc. from there, you and other members start planning and plotting.

No New Posts sublevels & dungeons
the sublevels and dungeons of hogwarts are a bit dismal and dark. they are lit with torches that help you find your way, though the sounds of dripping can be commonly heard. not many people spend a lot of their time down here because it gives them the creeps, but if you are a slytherin you will probably be spending a majority of your time down here since your common room can be found here. you will also be able to find the potions lab for all your classes.

No New Posts cellars & kitchens
less dramatic than the dungeons, the cellars are well lit and a bit more of a common area for the hubbub and hustle of activity. there are many interesting paintings to view, as well as old suits of armor and empty rooms that no one is quite sure of where they lead to. if you aren’t careful, you could easily get lost. however if you know your way around these parts, you could easily find yourself in the hufflepuff common room, or better yet, in the hogwarts kitchens.

No New Posts ground floor
hogwarts is a massive castle, and like all castles, it truly begins on the ground floor. upon entering the giant doors, you will find yourself waiting in an entrance hall. this is a symbolic place where first year students are kept while waiting to enter the great hall for their sorting ceremony. the ground floor also houses the caretaker’s office which is full of confiscated items, as well as the staff common room which is password protected and a nice little break for our professors and faculty members.

after stepping off the first flight of ever changing staircases, you will be able to find three key rooms and areas of the castle on the first floor. if you are ever feeling ill, find that you are missing a limb, or any other medical mishap, you should head promptly to the hospital wing to get fixed up. you can also find the arguably dull history of magic classroom on this floor, and just a few rooms down from that, you can find the elective class of muggle studies.

No New Posts second floor
the second floor itself doesn’t have all that many common places for students, but there are many shiny suits of armor, most likely spruced up by students in detention. the main high lights of this floor would be the defense against the dark arts classroom, which we are proud to report is no longer a “cursed position”. it’s always an enjoyable classroom, and students usually head out of the room in a good mood. you can also find what is known as moaning myrtle’s bathroom, which is also the hidden entrance into the chamber of secrets.

three floors up, you will be able to find the enormous trophy and armor gallery that is always kept clean by the students facing a punishment from our lovely caretaker. many of the trophies have surnames belonging to current students, showing us what their parents and relatives have accomplished in the past. you will also find the charms classroom on this floor which is a bit too small and cramped for many people’s liking.

underground, beauxbatons has a level devoted entirely to the art of healing magic. many students who go on to work at st. mungo’s are graduates of beauxbatons because of the stress that they place on the importance of health and medical practices within the magical community. many people would think that having such a sterile facility underground is counter intuitive, but the there are numerous spells and enchantments that promote cleanliness.

one could consider the third floor of durmstrang to be the rougher and rowdy floor, and it wouldn’t be far from the truth. the koleda house common room can be found on this floor, housing all the young men who are not sorted into zmey. the classes themselves are more liberal by nature, such as offensive magics, charms, transfiguration, and the dueling quarters for students to face off and practice the skills they have learned in their studies.
